On April 1st, a man was spotted getting his umbrella repaired by a repairer. I thought him to be an April fool. A hotter and hottest summer is yet to come; monsoon is a season far away. On April 4th, I was proven to be a fool. Because on April 4th, a heavy rain was noted all across the north and middle India. It was a perfect water-filled monsoon rain with thunderstorm, dark clouds, winds, and continuous pouring of water; somewhere even pieces of ice poured down. Some trees fell down, electric cables collapsed, many road hoardings flew away, and many low-lying areas were filled with water. Many road blockages, property damages, and even casualties reported; about 15 to 20 people in total lost their lives !
In my previous article "No Seasonal Interval", I talked about winter climax in the first half of February and the summer atmosphere in the second half of that month. How our seasons are changing the moods and deceiving us ! Only scientists could tell whether this is a serious issue or not. The more serious for this unseasonal rain is the crops bothering the farmers in these regions. The damage to the crops is much; because farmers too were deceived by never expecting rains during the first week of April. Mostly the wheat crop is going to be affected.
Here arises a key debate on "why the farmers are not secured with a policy such as Insurance." If the properties, vehicles, even lives, and many more are covered under the Insurance Policy, why the crops are not ? Let’s check out if there is any such provision for the farmers. The Insurance Companies must also look into in this regard.
